Where your music goes

Your release goes live on major streaming platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music*, Amazon Music, Deezer, and TIDAL - where listeners can search, stream, and save your music on demand.

It’s also delivered to TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and Snapchat, making your track available for use in videos and user-generated content.

Depending on where your audience is, your release can also reach regional platforms like Boomplay**, Anghami, JioSaavn, Tencent Music, NetEase Cloud Music, Pandora***, and iHeartRadio - including markets where these platforms are widely used.

We keep adding new platforms over time, so your music keeps moving.

How platforms work

Platforms don’t all work the same.

On streaming services, your music is available on demand. On radio platforms, it’s surfaced through stations and recommendations. On social platforms, your track becomes part of videos and user content.

Because of this, your release may look slightly different depending on where you check. That’s expected.

Platform highlights

A few key differences:

  • Spotify relies heavily on playlists and algorithmic discovery

  • Apple Music works closely with Shazam, so listeners can discover your music through editorial playlists or by identifying it with Shazam

  • YouTube Music delivers your release as Art Tracks, and Content ID (if eligible) lets you earn from videos using your music (see “YouTube Content ID”)

  • TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and Snapchat make your music available in their creation tools (see “UGC Matching”)

  • Pandora is radio-first and reviews content before making it available, so your release isn’t guaranteed to go live there

How people find your music

Once your release is live, listeners can discover it through search, playlists, recommendations, radio, or by hearing it in someone’s video.

The more places your music shows up, the more chances it has to be heard.

Good to know

Release timing can vary slightly between platforms, since each service publishes content independently (see “When will my release go live?”). Some platforms also review releases before they go live, so availability isn’t guaranteed on every platform.

Social platforms work differently from streaming services, and features like lyrics or credits aren’t available on every platform.

Make sure your artist name and track details are correct - this helps listeners find your music more easily.

Beyond streaming

Your music can also appear outside streaming apps, depending on usage and licensing - like in Peloton workouts, in stores via Soundtrack Your Brand, or in brand campaigns through MassiveMusic.
