Content Not Approved on Amuse

A quick guide to what you can’t upload to Amuse, from non-musical content to releases that don’t meet our guidelines.

Updated yesterday

Amuse is built for music. That means everything you upload should be a musical work - something listeners can stream, save, and come back to.

Before you start uploading, here’s a quick guide to what we don’t distribute.

Content that isn’t considered music

Some types of audio don’t fall under music distribution. This includes:

  • Audiobooks, podcasts, or radio-style content

  • Spoken-word recordings without a musical element

There are platforms designed specifically for this kind of content - but Amuse isn’t one of them.

Non-musical audio

We also don’t approve uploads that are primarily sound-based rather than musical, such as:

  • White, pink, or brown noise

  • ASMR

  • Frequencies (Hz tones, waves)

  • Sound effects or nature recordings

  • Guided meditation

  • Binaural beats

If it’s not structured as a piece of music, it won’t be accepted.

Classical cover recordings

Original classical works are fine, but cover versions of classical compositions aren’t supported at the moment.

Non-musical religious content

Religious music is welcome on Amuse.

However, spoken recordings like sermons, prayers, or recitations aren’t considered music and won’t be approved.

Content that breaks the rules

All uploads need to follow our Terms of Use. This means:

  • You must own or control the rights to the content

  • Remixes, samples, or reused material must be fully cleared

  • Copyright infringement isn’t allowed

If a release doesn’t meet these requirements, it will be rejected - and repeated violations may lead to account closure.

AI-generated music

AI-generated music is allowed, but there are a few things to keep in mind:

  • Some platforms (like Meta and YouTube Content ID) don’t accept AI content, so they’ll be excluded

  • Tracks that imitate or replicate well-known artists won’t be approved

Good to know

Every release is reviewed before it’s delivered to stores. This helps make sure your music has the best chance of going live without issues, since platforms also have their own guidelines and review processes.

If you’re unsure whether your release qualifies, it’s always better to check before uploading. And if you need help, our support team is just a message away.
