How do I create a release?
Create an account and build your track in our easy-to-use web uploader or mobile app. Add release info and artwork files, select the stores you want to distribute to and that’s it. Your music is on its way into the world!
How long does it take for my releases to reach stores?
When uploading a release, Amuse Pro and Boost users can select a custom release date as early as in 10 days for Pro and in 14 days for Boost. Pro and Boost users can both select “Release as soon as possible”.
Our Content team reviews the quality and formatting of every release to make sure it has the best possible chance of being accepted without delay. If we encounter any issues in the review, we’ll reach out to you and explain what needs fixing. You can see the status of your release on our mobile and web apps.
Can I make changes to a release after it’s been submitted?
Artwork and/or artist name: Yes! Please contact us by clicking the chat bubble in the bottom right corner. You'll find it on our Helpcenter or any page when you're logged in to your Amuse account.
Audio file changes / removing tracks from a release: No, you need to upload a new release. If the release has been live, make sure to reuse the old track’s/release’s ISRC code when you reupload and they’ll keep their streaming data. Ask us to delete the old upload once the new one is live on streaming services.
What is important when it comes to artwork?
Amuse is all for artistic freedom, but your creativity needs to live within the rules set by the music stores to not be taken down. Use high-quality image and text, own the rights to the image, and use the same text on the artwork that is on the release (release title, artist name, etc).
Can I upload a soundtrack?
Yes, you can upload a soundtrack. If it’s an actual soundtrack or score to a movie, TV series, or game, add the information in brackets or parentheses in the title. For example: Breaking Bad (Original Score from the Television Series).
Can I upload a cover?
Yes, you can upload a cover. The song must be your own recording and you need a license to release it in some markets (like the US and Canada).
Can I upload a remix?
Yes, you can upload a remix. But you need 100% distribution rights (aka you need permission from the original owners of the track or parts of a track). If it’s a remix of your own song, you can release it. More guidelines here.
Can I use samples in my music?
If you want to use a sample of someone else's music you need the permission of the song's copyright holder (the writer(s) and/or the publisher), and permission from the owner of the recording, usually the label.

What if my release is live on the wrong artist profile?
Occasionally, stores may have trouble matching your releases to the correct profile— this is an automated process, meaning it isn't always foolproof! If your music ends up on the wrong artist profile on any store or streaming platform, we can help you fix it.
The way to fix this is highly dependent on which store your release is incorrect on; you can find out what to do for each store here.
Why is my release missing from some stores or streaming platforms?
If your music is missing in a store but is already out on others, it is most likely still being processed in that store.
