Deleting your Amuse account is a permanent decision that cannot be undone. Before proceeding, make sure you’re 100% certain, as deleting your account will erase your Amuse history, including emails, personal and release data, and any outstanding royalties.
Important: You cannot delete your account if you have an unrecouped Royalty Advance deal, have a licensed track with us, or your account has been flagged for breaching our Terms of Use.
1. Take down your releases
Before deleting your account, make sure all your releases have been taken down. To take down a live release, go to the Music tab in your Amuse account, select the release, and click Take down release.
We recommend keeping your account open for at least six months after your releases have been taken down. This allows time for any remaining royalties to be processed and paid out. Keeping your Amuse account open won’t prevent you from joining another distributor.
If you’ve never released music through Amuse, or your releases were taken down more than six months ago, you can request account deletion.
2. Withdraw outstanding royalties
Before deleting your account, make sure to withdraw any remaining royalties from your Wallet. For instructions, see our guide on how to withdraw royalties.
3. Cancel your subscription
Before requesting account deletion, make sure to cancel your subscription to avoid future subscription charges.
4. Request account deletion
Once you’ve completed the steps above, you can request an account deletion directly through the Amuse app or website.
Mobile app
Open the Amuse app.
Go to Account using the icon in the top-left corner.
Scroll to the bottom of the page.
Under Actions, tap Delete Account.
Web
Log in to your account at artist.amuse.io.
Navigate to Account.
Click Edit.
Select Delete Account.
Once you submit your request, it will be processed within two weeks. During this time, you won’t be able to access the account you’ve requested to delete or create a new Amuse account using the same email address.
Can't delete your account?
If the app or website tells you that you can’t delete your account, please contact our Support team for assistance.
Thanks for using Amuse, and best of luck with whatever comes next!
