Timed release
Updated over a week ago

When gearing up for a big release, timing is everything. Enter timed releases, putting you in control of the precise moment your music hits digital platforms worldwide. Here's what you need to know:

What is a Timed Release?

A timed release ensures a simultaneous worldwide launch, regardless of time zone differences. No more waiting around for default release times – you can count down to the release moment along with your fans and followers.

Supported Platforms

You can set up a timed release for the following major platforms:

  • Spotify

  • Deezer

  • Tidal

  • Amazon

  • Anghami

  • Claro Musica

  • Facebook/Instagram

  • TikTok

  • Netease

  • Nuuday

  • Pandora

  • Tencent

  • YouTube Music

Note: The feature is currently available on our web app. Mobile app support to follow.

What About Unsupported Platforms?

While many music services now support this feature, others don’t - a big one being Apple Music. On services without support, the release will instead get the default setting (going live at midnight in local times), but 1-2 days later. A later date is necessary to avoid the music “leaking” too early in some parts of the world.

Example:

A release is set to go live on Spotify at 21:00 on March 17, in Stockholm, Sweden (CET). Without adjustment for dates, the release would have already been live on Apple Music for several hours in Sydney, Australia (AET). To avoid that, we’d set it for release on Apple Music at 00:00/midnight in local time zones on March 19 instead, ensuring it doesn’t appear anywhere before the chosen moment for your timed release.

Setting Your Release Time

Getting started is simple:

  1. Choose your release date during the upload process.

  2. Opt for "Everywhere at the Same Time”. This ensures your release goes live globally at once, regardless of time zone differences.

  3. Select your release time using the time picker – it's in your local time zone.

  4. Want to see what time it'll be elsewhere? Use the World Time Calculator for extra accuracy.

In Conclusion

By selecting a time for global release, you're in control of your music's big moment and can engage with your fans worldwide around the precise moment it drops.

Ready to get started? Schedule the time for your next release by selecting “Everywhere at the same time”.
