When you transfer already released music to Amuse from another aggregator and you want to keep the streams and artist profile in the stores, there are a couple of things to think of to get it right.
First, the track title, the track length, and the ISRC code MUST be the same for it to count as the same recording.
Second, make sure to add the ISRC codes when uploading the track(s) in the Amuse app so we will release the tracks with the right codes and not our own. If you feel the need to add the original release date (Year-Month-Day), you need to use our web form. Soon this will be possible to do in the app.
Third, check the release in the stores when it is live. You can now verify that the Amuse release and the previous release have the same stream count. This might take a couple of days.
Fourth, you contact the previous aggregator and ask them to take their release down.
That the music is out from both sources at the same time simplifies the transition and potential mistakes can be corrected.
If these steps are followed, the tracks will keep the streams and stay on the artist profile and the tracks will be exchanged to the Amuse tracks in all playlists which makes it safe to remove from the previous aggregator. It can take a few days until all streams are back.
When the release has been taken down from the previous distributor, we start to collect the royalties. Until then, all royalties go through the previous distributor.
We will be right by your side this whole process.
