Creating a Meta ad campaign

Learn how to create and launch a Meta ad campaign with Promote.

With Promote, you can create and launch Meta ad campaigns directly from the Amuse web app.

Your campaign uses a Share Link as its landing page. When someone clicks through your ad and interacts with your Share Link, those events help Meta optimize your campaign and find more people who may be interested in your music.

Choose your Share Link

Start by choosing the Share Link you want to promote. Make sure the most important links are easy to find at the top of the page.

Promoting an upcoming release? Choose a Pre-Save Link. It automatically becomes a Release Link when your music goes live, so your campaign can keep running with the same link.

Promoting a release that's already live? Choose a Release Link.

Promoting yourself as an artist? Choose an Artist Bio Link. You can customize it to highlight whatever you want new listeners to discover first, like your artist profile, top songs or a playlist.

Any button someone clicks on your Share Link counts towards your campaign results. The Meta Pixel you select when creating your campaign is automatically connected to the Share Link for tracking.

Set your budget

Choose how much you want to spend per day and how long you want your campaign to run. You'll see your projected total spend before launching, excluding any applicable Meta location fees.

Your ad spend is billed directly by Meta, and Amuse doesn't take a commission from your ad budget.

If you stop your campaign early, you'll only be billed for the ad spend used up until that point.

Not sure where to start? There's no perfect budget. Starting small gives you room to test different creatives and learn what works for your music and audience.

Keep in mind that Meta's algorithm may need a few days to optimize your campaign, so don't worry if you don't see results straight away.

Choose your audience

Meta handles much of the targeting automatically based on signals from your creatives and campaign data.

In the campaign builder, you can:

  • Choose an age range

  • Add or remove target regions

  • Choose Instagram, Facebook or both

The default settings are designed to give you a good starting point, so it's completely fine to leave them as they are.

Try not to make your audience too narrow. Giving Meta more room to optimize can help it find people who are interested in your music.

Some countries have additional requirements or can't currently be selected. Learn more in Ad targeting and geographic limitations.

Add your creatives

Your creative is the combination of the video, audio, headline and primary text people see in your ad.

You can upload multiple videos to the same campaign. Meta will test your creatives and use campaign performance to determine which ones to show more often.

A few things to keep in mind:

  • Make the first few seconds count. Give people a reason to keep watching from the start.

  • Make everything work together. Your video, music and text should feel connected and represent you and your music.

  • Try different ideas. Test different parts of your song, videos or text to learn what connects with your audience.

  • Don't overthink production quality. A simple video shot on your phone can work too. What matters is finding something that connects.
