Release Times & Scheduling

Learn when your music will go live, how long stores take to process releases, and how to choose your release date.

Once your release has been approved by Amuse and delivered to stores, each platform starts processing it.

If you've selected a specific release date, your music is scheduled to go live on that date. How far in advance you need to schedule depends on your subscription:

  • Artist: At least 14 days in advance

  • Artist+: At least 10 days in advance

  • Professional: At least 7 days in advance

If you've chosen Release as soon as possible, your music will go live as soon as each store accepts it, which may be on different days across platforms.

How long do stores take to process a release?

Here are the approximate processing times based on recent deliveries:

  • Spotify: 2–4 days (sometimes faster)

  • Apple Music: 1–2 days (manual reviews may occasionally add 1–2 weeks)

  • YouTube Music: 1–2 days

  • Facebook/Instagram: 2–3 days (occasionally up to 2 weeks)

  • TikTok: 2–3 days (occasionally up to 2 weeks)

  • Amazon: 1–2 days

  • Deezer: 1–2 days

  • TIDAL: 1–2 days

  • Anghami: 1–5 days (manual reviews may add another 2–3 days)

These are estimates, not guaranteed delivery times. Stores can only start processing your release once it has passed Amuse's content review and been delivered.

You can help avoid delays by making sure your metadata, audio files, and artwork meet our guidelines before submitting your release.

What if I choose "Release as soon as possible"?

This option is available on all subscription plans and is ideal if you want your music out quickly without needing a specific release date.

Here's what you can generally expect:

  • Professional: As fast as 48 hours on select stores

  • Artist+: As little as 5 days

  • Artist: Around 5–7 days

Actual release times depend on store processing, so these are estimates rather than guarantees.

Keep in mind: Once you've submitted your release, you can't change the release timing. If you want to switch to a specific release date, you'll need to submit a new release and choose Select a release date.

If your release requires a mechanical license, processing the license may also delay your release, even if you've already scheduled a date.

Why should I choose a release date?

Planning to promote your music before it drops? We recommend choosing Select a release date when uploading your music.

This gives you time to prepare for playlist pitching, pre-saves, and promotion. Some of these activities require your music to be delivered to stores well before release day.

Releasing a cover song? If your cover requires a license for Full distribution, schedule your release at least 14 days in advance. For ASAP releases, cover licenses can take up to 10 days to process, although they're usually ready sooner.

Can I choose an exact release time?

Yes! Want your music to go live at the same time worldwide? Select Everywhere at the same time when scheduling your release.

This lets you choose a specific release time on supported platforms, including Spotify and Apple Music.
