My releases have signs of Artificial Streaming - what should I do next?
Updated over a month ago

If you’ve been informed that your releases are showing signs of artificial streaming, you can take the following steps:

How to report a playlist in Spotify:

  1. Find the playlist in the Spotify app or web player

  2. Select (...)

  3. Select Share > Copy link to playlist

  4. Paste the link into the field at the link above

  5. Answer the prompts on the screen

  6. Submit

Additionally, here are some other steps you can take:

  • Contact any third party company you’ve been working with.

  • Log in to the artist portal for the relevant DSP (e.g. Spotify for Artists).

  • Review the playlists you’ve been added to.

  • If you see a playlist you don’t recognise, or an abnormal spike in streams, you can ask the playlist curator to remove you. If you can’t get hold of them, the DSP support team may be able to help - Amuse can’t help with this.

  • If you suspect your fans have been repetitively listening to your music on different devices, post on social media and ask them to stop.

  • Take any screenshots of any action you’ve taken, and get in touch with Amuse. We’ll review your case on an individual basis.
