Discovery Mode is a new Spotify tool that helps you reach new listeners and grow your fanbase, with no upfront budget required. Discovery Mode also helps artists find new fans abroad.
Until now, Discovery Mode has been available in Spotify for Artists for eligible artists teams in select markets. Over the next few months, Spotify is planning to expand access to eligible artist teams in additional markets.
If your Spotify for Artists account has a billing country associated with one of the below markets, and you meet the artist eligibility criteria, you may be granted access over the coming months to set up and manage your Discovery Mode campaigns directly in Spotify for Artists. You will receive an email from Spotify once you have been granted access.
In advance of gaining access, please ensure you have a Spotify for Artists account setup and verify the following information:
Confirm that the billing country you have associated with your Spotify for Artists account is correct. If you need to verify or update your billing country, please follow these instructions.
Confirm that the email address you have on file in Spotify for Artists is up to date so you will receive communications about Discovery Mode. To update your email, follow these instructions.
Confirm that your S4A account language and email language are set to your preferences, by following these instructions.
Please note that only members of your artist team who have Admin and Editor access in Spotify for Artists will be able to set up Discovery Mode campaigns. Anyone on your artist team, including those who have Reader access, will be able to view Discovery Mode performance reports. If you wish to change your team access levels in Spotify for Artists, follow these instructions.
Additionally, if you’d like to express your interest to Spotify in gaining access to this new tool, you can complete this form. Please ensure that you have accurately entered your Spotify Artist URI in the form, otherwise Spotify will not be able to process your form submission.
