What is a remix?
A remix is when you use a recording from another artist and make alterations and arrangements, and/or changes to the style/genre in order to create a new track from it (not to be confused with a cover - which is just a re-creation of it).
What to consider when distributing with Amuse
You can only release a remix if the copyright holder has given you permission to do so.
In most cases, you will need a master license.
In the Amuse release builder, you have the option to select if the track is original (meaning it's 100% your original work), remix, or cover. You should choose the option remix when the original was made by someone else and you have a license that allows you to release it. The original artist should be credited as the main 'Primary Artist' and the artist who made the remix as 'Remixer'.
