Can I upload a soundtrack?
Yes, you can upload a soundtrack. If it’s an actual soundtrack or score to a movie, TV series or game, add the information in brackets or parentheses in the title. For example; Breaking Bad (Original Score from the Television Series).
Can I upload a cover?
Yes, you can upload a cover. The song must be your own recording and you need a license to release it in some markets.
How to upload a cover song correctly:
- The song has to be your own recording.
- You MUST fill in the original writers as writers.
- You can NOT mention the original artist in the release text or on the cover art.
- You will need a license for selling downloads of covers in the US, Mexico, Canada, India and Pakistan (if you don’t have a license, you can still release it, but we won’t be able to distribute the song to the US, Mexico, Canada, India or Pakistan).
Can I upload a remix?
Only if you have the necessary rights. To upload a remix, you need 100% distribution rights (aka you need the permission from the original owners of the track or parts of a track). If it’s a remix of your own song, you can release it.
