The first thing that happens after the upload is that we give your music an ISRC, which stands for Industry Standard Reference Code. This means that from that point on, whatever happens to your music will be connected to you. This will ensure that everyone knows that the music is yours and that you will always be paid for its use!
Once the track has a reference we begin processing it. The metadata is checked and formatted so that it is accepted by the music stores. We make sure that the sound file meets the quality standards set by the stores. We also check that the music is indeed yours! How we do this is our secret but rest assured that we will catch anyone trying to submit music that is not theirs to distribute!
If we find something that needs to be corrected, like cover art, we will contact you immediately.
If everything is alright with the upload we will send you a message to let you know that we have successfully received, processed and delivered your music to the stores. We will also give you a release date.
When the track is available in the stores, we will send you another message with the link to your track so you can share it with your friends and fans on social media. Don’t forget to mention us so we can share it and retweet it.
Expect 7-10 days from the moment you upload your track until is it in the music stores.
Like other labels and distributors, we normally release our music on Fridays, aka New Music Day.
Once we have sent your music to the stores, we will show the status of each track on the music page of the app. If there is any action to be taken by you we will notify you, otherwise wait for the notification that your music is in stores ready for your fans to listen to.
