Changing an artist name is more tricky than it seems. The data change means streaming services and stores need to create a completely new artist page, meaning that you lose your current one as well as your monthly listeners and followers. It also makes it more difficult for your listeners to find your releases.
If you still want to do it, here's what you have to do:
No previous releases? In this case, please submit a request saying you have no live releases and we will gladly change the artist name for you. Or you can simply create a new account with another email in the app and use it to upload your new releases.
Already released music? In some cases, we can help you update the artist name. Please submit a request to Support and we'll get back to you with the next steps.
Transferring your music to Amuse from a different distributor
If you are switching distributors and have also changed your artist name (or there have been any important changes in any collaborator artist names), please let us know so we can inform the stores about it. Otherwise, your releases risk not being approved during the reviewing process.
